Wu Dawei says about himself: ‘I think I’m a post-perception person,The world is so rich and diverse, but I am not so sensitive to the changes around me. I prefer to be immersed in my own spiritual world and spiritual space. Perhaps I’m just used to thinking alone like this. As for my artworks, I think there’s no need to say too much. They resemble me so much, standing there, so silent. In the world I create, they are like the only survivors, solemn yet ridiculous. A philosopher once said: silence is an attitude. silence is closer to the essence. Silence is a form of beauty as a form of power! Perhaps this is the answer! In my creative process, I am always seeking a balance between emotion and logic. I think that the tranquility of the soul is a better embodiment of the tenacity of life. In the end, they will become the avatars of my inner emotions and thoughts. Sometimes I am jealous of how peaceful and tranquil they are. I only hope I can also carry forward so peacefully! I’m already in my thirties, and I have a lot of worries in life. Perhaps only by stopping and looking can I find the true answers!’
