As a professional artist, Chen Wenling (China, born 1969) is one of the most representative artists of Chinese contemporary art who was bestowed Honorary Academician of The National Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy and “Sino–Australian Art Ambassador” . He, enjoying a high reputation in the world, mainly creates sculptures and has also dabbled in installation, painting, photography, contemporary calligraphy, etc. Known as a magical-realist magician of sculpture, he is also a trailblazer of large-scale contemporary public sculptures. With extraordianry creativity, imaginations and comprehensiveness, he has created a variety of sculptures that are simply exceptional and meaningful. His representitve art works include: Red Memory series; Happy Life series;China Scene series; City Bull series; Grace of My Heart series,etc. Over the past 20 years, he has participated in important exhibitons both domestic and overseas over a hundred times. He was consecutively awarded as “Top Ten Chinese Sculptors” by Arton.net for three years. He is the first artist in China who won the Public Art Prize in the 9th “Sculpture by the Sea” at Perth, Australia.
